Mussel pot and garlic bread


Main Ingredients

  • 1 PnP garlic bread
  • 1 kilogram fresh mussels, cleaned
  • 6 PnP spring onions, finely chopped
  • 1 PnP celery sticks, finely chopped
  • 1 PnP garlic clove
  • 1 PnP green chilli, sliced
  • 2 PnP lemons, peel grated
  • 1 cup crisp white wine
  • 60 ml PnP parsley, chopped


  • Pop the garlic bread on the coals, turning every 2 minutes or so until done.
  • Place mussels, spring onions, celery, garlic, chilli and lemon zest into a heavy based pot and place over medium coals.
  • Add wine and cover with the lid.
  • Steam for 3-5 minutes or until all the mussels are open. Discard any that remain shut.
  • Sprinkle with parsley and serve with crunchy garlic bread.
